Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Quito (2,800 m) – Mountain Bike in the Cotopaxi National Park (3,830) - Return to Quito
Early in the morning (07:00), our team will meet you at a predetermined location in Quito; our driver will take us south on the Pan-American highway along the Avenida de los Volcanes until we reach the parking area inside the Cotopaxi National Park. The trip from Quito to our destination point normally takes around 2 hours. Once we arrive at the parking lot (4,500 m) we will take our bicycles and at this point we will begin our descent through the incredible and beautiful roads; we will be able to admire the beauty of Antisana, Illinizas and el Pasochoa, we will continue our way to the ruins of the pre-Inca fortress of El Salitre, which was built by our ancestors as a military strategic point where they could have a view of the entire area . We will pass through the north entrance of the park where we will make a stop to rest, eat and then we will finish our tour until we reach the town of “Pedregal”, our driver will pick us up at this place and take us back to Quito.
